Father’s Day – Moinul Islam : Editor’s Pick
The birth of a child is an inspection from the God. God sends a child to know how this world being even cruel, perseveres the creation. The parents are mostly liable for this trial. In fact, God is there all the time with all of His creations to witness how they are being cared by the responsible ones. And the time when the liable ones pass, blessings be bestowed. Father’s Day is not an anomaly from this blessing.
When a child comes to this earth, though this is a new place for him to live, but he actually remains concerned about the behavior of this world. He wants what he deserves. When this little creature finds this world cruel, he slowly makes himself cruel. The world becomes loveable to him only when he can swamp himself with the love of this world. To a newborn child, his first world is his parents. And particularly this world should be so compassionate to a child so that he can find love. And the blessing happens then.
In a blessed situation, a father is the first hero of a son and the first love for a daughter. A father gives them the dream to see the future. A father holds a child’ hand and child’s back together. But the most interesting thing there is, the child doesn’t realize these things being a child. Or sometimes he realizes but doesn’t learn to recognize. But a father day becomes a blessing when the child gets the maturity to confess.
For a matured child, Father’s day is not really about giving a gift to his father. It is about confessing the gift of caring that his father expresses when he helps put food on the table, teaches to ride a bike, cheers at a soccer game, smiles at a graduation, giggles with a grandchild, and most importantly, acts as channel for God’s love to flow through him into the live of his child.
For a father, Father’s day is not so much about taking the accolades of a job well done ( even though may be well deserved) but about giving thanks for the opportunity to give. And remember, the greatest gift that a father gives to his child is the actual expression of his love. It is not enough to feel love for them inside, a father rather needs to express what he has inside. A father should take a moment each day and give his child the kind of hug that can leave no doubt that he really treasures his child’s presence in his life.
Of course, the greatest dad of all is the father of all life. So, let’s take some time this father’s day to remember our Heavenly father. Let’s have our innermost hopes, dreams, challenges, temporary setbacks, and victories. And once we have had our say, let’s listen carefully: For God, the father of us all, may have a gift in store for us, the gift of awareness of His infinite loving presence in our lives.
