WHY SPORTS FANS ARE SPORTS FANS
Different people take sports differently. Some say its just a waste of time. Some say that the time spent into sports is one of the most productive and effective time.
Human beings have differents perspectives and point of view. But as we all know and can clearly see that there are more people in this world who are more interested about sports than who are not. According to a recent research, there 65% (approximately) sports fans in this Earth. So, what is the reason that they are different from the 35% people who are not really very interested in sports?
Sports is entertaining, for the following reasons:
1.There is high drama.
Because so many people are paying attention, and because what happens will be remembered for a long time, the stakes are actually high for the athletes you’re watching, which creates drama.
2. It is fun to watch greatness.
Humans have a fascination with freakish greatness, no matter what the skill is. Sports is a great place to watch people who are in the best at something they do what and they are great at.
3. It is athletically pleasing.
This is a huge appeal of many of the sports, and it is part of the reason it is fun to watch a person as smooth and athletically blessed as greats like Lionel Messi, Cristiano and many other legends play.
4. Sports bonds you to people.
It brings family and friends together.
A lot of people get together with friends to watch sports in times they otherwise might not see them, and I know so many people whose primary talking point with their fathers is sports. Sports is not replacing other, more worthwhile topics of conversation between those sons and fathers, it is just adding a level of closeness that would not be there without it.
5. It gives the greater community another thing to bond over.
There aren’t too many times in life you can celebrate something with complete strangers and feel an emotional connection with your community as a whole. People love this feeling.
6. Sports provides an escape from life.
Life is a self-centered thing, and sports is often a nice place to focus when you are sick of your own issues. Especially on days when your life is going not so well.
Even if a person is having a miserable day, but still finds out or witnesses that his favorite sports team or invidual player did well. That person will automatically gain a positive energy. Which will cheer him up at least for some time.
What is better than a real happy smile after a rush time?
And in the end
In a time when heroic triumphs are not part of most people’s lives, sports allows us to capture a little sliver of the feeling of glory.
